Dance Marathon
Dance Marathon is an annual charity event hosted by Alleman High School to raise money for the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital. Each year, students sponsor children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases receiving treatment at the facility.
While attending Alleman, I co-ran the social media accounts and edited video spots for the YouTube channel for the 2019 fundraiser. The campaign’s efforts helped the organization raise over $30,000 for the kids.

Each year, students chose a theme for Dance Marathon and 2019, the theme was “Get Your Kicks at DM6.” I conceptualized, shot, and co-edited this theme reveal video where students recreated iconic movie dance scenes.
This video compiled pictures and videos from previous years events to show the new generation of students what Dance Marathon was about, and incentivize them to register.
